NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (NEC)
The sizing of conductors used for branch circuits from the panel board to the load will be based on the type of
load (motor or non-motor), load duty cycle (continuous or non-continuous),
device termination temperatures, insulation types, ambient air temperature, and
voltage drop calculation results. The sizing of over-current protection
devices (circuit breakers/fuses) installed at the panel board will be
covered. In addition, the sizing of motor overloads will be
included.
The sizing of conductors used for feeders from the service equipment to the panel board will be based on the type of load (motor or non-motor), load duty cycle (continuous or non-continuous), device termination temperatures, insulation types, ambient air temperature, and voltage drop calculation results. The sizing of over-current protection devices (circuit breakers/fuses) installed at the service equipment will be covered. All participants should bring a calculator.
